Biography

Karike Ashworth is an emerging video and installation artist based in Brisbane, and is currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Queensland College of Arts. Recent noteworthy exhibitions include a live performance documentation piece at the Exist Festival at the Powerhouse (October 2011), and Across the Threshold at the Redcliffe City Art Gallery (January 2012).

In 2011 Karike was awarded a Volunteer Internship as part of Museum & Gallery Services Queensland’s Mentorship, Exchange and Fellowship Program, where she undertook a two-week internship at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery. Karike works at the IMA as their Communications Officer, and was the IMA’s Acting Exhibition Officer in March 2012.
