Stop for Art Promotion Activity

Stop for Art, a student collaborative art project on Brisbane’s Goodwill Bridge from May 26 to 29, was given a ‘hand up’ during the lunchbreak at Queensland College of Art’s Southbank campus on Wednesday 23 May. Onlookers across campus, on the bridge and at the Ship Inn were entertained by a group dressed in black with painted red hands performing a series of live commercials.

Activities included lying on the ground with hands up in various formations, following or surrounding groups and individuals, and invading studios, auditoriums, computer labs and study spaces. Onlookers gathered, capturing mobile phone camera footage of the group and were handed Stop for Art business cards as invitations to visit the project’s blog (stopforart.blogspot.com/) and the event.

After the excitement generated by the promotional event, it is now all hands on deck for a successful arts project for the Stop for Art group on Brisbane’s Goodwill Bridge.
